An dieser Stelle muss ich mich fragen, ob es überhaupt noch Sinn macht, das Gerät weiter zu analysieren. 🤔

Auch mein erster Gedanke an dieser Stelle. Aber das Döschen läuft nunmal mit Android, also bis hierhin "normales" Verhalten.

Wenn sich die Anmeldung mit einem simplen "überspringen" nicht umgehen läst, dann ist die Dose uninteressant.

@[email protected] Ich mag ja mein OpenELEC auf Raspberry Pi. Seit einem Jahrzehnt treuer Begleiter. Läuft sogar 24/7 und die SD war erst ein Mal kaputt. Ich streame allerdings vom Hausserver.

Ich wollte da eine Analyse/Datenmitschnitt machen. Mir ist bekannt, dass es a) bessere Alternativen gibt b) bitte keine alternativen Aufzählen. Darum geht es hier nicht.

Auch uncool: Selbst wenn man das Gerät über die Fernbedienung ausschaltet, ist zwar das HDMI-Signal weg, es bleibt aber weiterhin mit dem WiFi verbunden und kontaktiert Domains wie:

  • logs.netflix.com

@[email protected] Das erinnert mich gerade daran, dass die Fritzboxen ein Feature haben das WLAN z.B. in der Nacht zum Stromsparen abzuschalten - mit dem Pferdefuß, dass kein Client im Netz hängen darf - also nie 😳

Werde eine Analyse durchführen. Nach ersten Tests lässt sieht es gar nicht mehr so übel aus - Google-Konto lässt sich nach dem Onboarding entkoppeln/deaktivieren. Installation von Apps kann via Aurora Store, F-Droid oder ADB erfolgen. Bin nun dabei den Captive-Portal-Check anzupassen und ein paar andere Schrauben zu drehen. Könnte eine datenschutzfreundliche Lösung werden. Wir werden sehen.

Ist das Google - "onboarding" denn nicht schon des "schlechten" zu viel? Oder kann man ein google-Konto auch ohne Mitteilung der eigenen Telefonnummer erstellen?

Flauncher anstatt dem Google Müll, rethinkdns, aurora store und natürlich F-droid.

Bin damit sehr zufrieden seit langer Zeit auf der shield.
