Its been there awhile with these people....I wish I was kidding but they believe Mexico and other countries that way are so evil this is reasonable. Their stereotypes just seem to get more and more crazy that they believe....
Many conservatives think that Mexico is a problem the same way they think that Native American tribes self governance is a problem. The Mexican history is that of the native Mexicans winning out over the Spanish and forming their country and many conservatives are still pissed about the Alamo because they think we should have kept going south in conquest.
Yea which is why I wish it was easier to take them down when they threaten violence to send us into a war. Since I know I can't get things done to show I'm not capable myself for that or a lot of things(the audhd panics and meltdowns are oof with his stressed I stay....). Like the fact they won't believe they're in the minority sucks 😕
Also it's fuckin stupid because Mexico is becoming our biggest trading partner. It's beyond the pale stupidity!

I disagree, he’s dumb and horrible with anything that has to do with economics too. Fascism is a terrible system.

That become very obvious in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023.
Our systems are just so unbelievably broken. They gerrymander and destroy other systems to keep themselves in power and its just sick.
We have been far too tolerant of the intolerant for far too long. This is inevitable
Seriously....it's that whole "they came after this group and you said nothing" bc we ignored the red flags. People ignore the signs until it hits them and its too late despite those like me doing what we can(which isn't much) to fight it....
They're dumber because lots of them want Trump, but I wouldn't say this makes Americans as a whole dumber because very few of them support DeSantis. He's just throwing random shit out there like this at this point.

Goal post moving for his base. DeSantis “had to” take federal disaster relief money for the damage to his state caused by Hurricane Idiala(?) making him weak in their eyes(or so he believes). So now to appeal to/appease his sycophants he must promise the possibility of pain, poverty and destruction for those less fortunate.

There's a greentext going around comparing the Russian invasion of Ukraine to the US invading Mexico and I'm really scared DeSantis is trying to make it come true.
Nearly all of my friends are Mexican citizens that moved to the States for work or folks that have family in Mexico. Why the fuck does DeSantis think like this? Hell even the conservative Latinos in the border states couldn't support this nonsense right?
Never underestimate the stupidity of a conservative regardless of their heritage.

Seriously though, look at the terror Ukraine has been able to accomplish inside Russia with a hell of a lot less than what Mexico has. You guys want missiles blowing shit up in San Antonio and phoenix?
The cartels have been VERY careful keeping their violence on the Mexican side of the border, and not kidnapping Americans (usually), because there's no better way to get yourself connected to God's wifi. A war would basically throw all that out the window. The border towns like San Antonio would erupt with the same sort of cartel violence you see already in Mexico. Families of soldiers in those areas would find themselves turning into targets.
How do people see shit like this and then think he is a good choice for president???

Why does Florida have missiles?
Outside of any in a military base, he doesn't. It was a question about if he would authorize an aerial attack if he were voted president...
That said... he's an idiot for even thinking that would be a good idea
If he gets elected, Russia is going to have nuclear missles stationed in Florida for use agaisted Cuba.
I don't like DeSantis either but if you read the article, the question itself was loaded. I mean the headlines are a slippery slope argument

Good times.....
How would launching missiles to deal with the Mexican cartel help anyone? Yes, you might end up killing some cartel members near the border, but what happens if you end up hurting civilians that get caught in the crossfire?
There is also no guarantees the cartels won't wise up to this and just start taking and using civilians as meat shields in order to make the soldiers launching the missiles and shooting at them look bad on both sides.
I wonder what the US government would do if Florida went rogue and started shooting missiles at Mexico?
I was going to visit FL in a few weeks, but now I don't feel it's even safe to visit…
I don’t think the Governor of any state has the legal power to wage war.
