submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

I- How to create a lemmy community?

II- Can I create a community in an instance from a different one?

III– What is the purpose of life?

Thanks in advance.

If you don't see create community in the top next to create post, then your home server doesn't allow users to create community

No. You have to have an account on that server. (And have to use that account regularly as well, otherwise you won't see reports about your community)

You make posts.

Depends on how you're accessing lemmy. There's a button on lemmy websites if your instance's admin has allowed it.

Don't think so, easier to request someone on the other instance to create it for you.

Open your main instance. In this case lemmy.basedcount.com . Check if below "explore communities" there's a "create community". Click on it.

In case that you want to create the community in another instance, either register in that instance too or ask someone to do it, and then transfer mod rights for you.

Note that some instances disabled community creation. lemmy.ml for example did it to encourage users to spread out to other instances.

There's no purpose in life besides the one that you create yourself.

I- I don't really know, sorry.

II- Yeah I'm not really sure tbh.

III- The purpose of your life is up to you. You are part of something bigger and no matter what you end up doing, you have a place in this crazy universe. Nothing would exist without you and you wouldn't exist without everything else. Your balance is the world's balance, and you'll feel your purpose when you realize your connection and influence on everything around you. Also.... 42
