What an ROI! My $17 in 2016 turned into a (potential) $100 eight short years later. Signing up for wallstreetbets rn

From the lawsuit itself:

CAH is the sole member of Hole Holding LLC

They actually created a subsidiary for their giant holes/useless land

P.S. We will also accept Twitter.com as compensation.

lmao

This needs to say x.com and all associated assets.

I can completely see musk giving them the domain keys to Twitter.com and then wiping his hands

[-] [email protected] 48 points 7 hours ago

I dunno, putting a mastodon instance at twitter.com could be cool.

[-] [email protected] 6 points 6 hours ago

X the site formerly know as Twitter but no longer Twitter.

I mean Its valuation probably would go up the minute he left so 🫠

How is it that a company that gets off on being crass and inappropriate is one of the most powerful and competent upstanding arbiters of fairness and equality of any company I've ever seen?

It's beautiful and I'm here for it.

Turns out doing the right thing has nothing to do with whether or not you tell dirty jokes and moral puritanism is bunkum. Whoda thunk

The people most interested in appearing perfectly clean often have quite a few skeletons in their closet they don't want people to suspect.

A sense of humor is a survival trait for negative situations, and those who have one are usually really nice because they know how shitty things can be. That's what I came up with at least.

stephanie mcmahon of the (human trafficking rape factory known as the) WWE infamously went on record to say (paraphrasing): Philanthropy is the future of marketing

This is no different than all the awesome shit that Bill Gates did as part of his foundations. Or (scumbag and pedophile protector) Mr Beast's various donations and charity events.

CAH have done a decent amount of good. They also fueled an entire generation of white men to giggle and say the n-word. One of their former execs (?) also did some REALLY heinous shit. But please be incredibly wary of putting them on a pedestal just because they are currently doing a publicity event to sue a racist shithead.

[-] [email protected] 14 points 8 hours ago

Let's see who can said the most racist shit: the game

Culture starts at the top. There's likely more details out there that I haven't kept up on.

But I'm sure they've "fixed it," just like ActiBlizz did. And WWE. And so on. But yeah, after years of buying every expansion pack, this left a bad taste in our mouths. It's still a fun game, but it's hard to ignore the behind the scenes stuff.

human trafficking rape factory

They got rid of the offenders. It is not known as that

Edit: sorry, I didn't realize it was you way up there on the high horse

It's kinda like when comedians deliver the news.

[-] [email protected] 31 points 10 hours ago

Just got this email notification and was about to post it myself!

I was expecting it to be a clickbaity joke, but nope it's just another case of big companies doing asshole big company stuff because it's cheaper than doing the right thing. And, surprise surprise, facilitated by at least one local politician who profited off the assholery. https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/spacex-texas-musk/

[-] [email protected] 22 points 10 hours ago

He probably did it just to be an asshole. I hope they win way more than 15 million dollars.

Elon Musk is our worst immigrant by far, we need to focus on getting rid of that particular one first. He's taking away thousands of jobs from Americans by himself.

Get his ass!

I'd probably wait for them to finish electrical on those structures then hire a contractor to haul out everything not attached to a recycler and use the cash to build a fence with a bunch of no trespassing signs and then wait to be served. Not my fault they didn't measure property lines as required by law. Walk out of court with free hookups, they can move their stupid structures

[-] [email protected] 1 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago)

Is there not some sort of squatters law that would force them to deal with it or risk having them stay? Hence the lawsuit to enforce their rights.

E.g now that they know, waiting for something to complete might be admission of letting them stay and be required to accept rent?

[-] [email protected] 5 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago)

It's called adverse possession and that's why you discard anything not bolted down ASAP under the presumption of illegal dumping, put up a new fencr with big signs, and claim any structures as yours under the presumption that anyone following code (building legal) would hire surveyors to note boundaries. Do not let any other living human past that fence under any circumstance and if they do so against your will videotape all of it.

Of course whoever built it will take you to court but you argue that they can move their structures because you have every right to your own land for all the aforementioned reasons

Edit: and something like this, random dude trying to be a bigger asshole vs Elon Musk, you'd need to hire an attorney just to field calls from attorneys lining up to work pro bono for the free media coverage, and probably wind up with a PR rep working for free for the same reasons, helping you line up slots on random talk shows, because this would go mega fucking viral
