Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

So when do we finally label this manbaby as a "Threat to National Security" and executive order him to be fired into the sun on one of his own rockets?

edit: forgot to include the word manbaby

I have no idea what these claims are, because I blocked the bastard years ago.

Same. Blocked Xhitter and FB both in my router, so even if I am tempted to click, I literally can't (without jumping through hoops). Has the nice side effect of neutering any tracking from there, too.

That sounds useful!

I didn't block the site,it's too useful. But I did block Musk.

Yup until someone takes care of that little man-child, he'll continue to do as much damage as he can. Just like trump and those following him. Lie about everything. Literally everything they say or bring up is either completely stupid or a straight up lie.

They'll just continue to damage America without any consequences at all. At what point will they be forced to stop their bullshit or will they just be allowed to continue their path of destruction until the very end?

We really need some regulations for this shit. Letting dumb assholes destroy America just because they have money isn't viable.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

They're destroying the world, not just America. You're not alone in this. :)

If you use Twitter, you support this piece of shit.

I read the article but it doesn't mention how they are counting a "view". Obviously most people on Twitter see his posts but there are so many bots on Twitter at this point, how many of those views were just that?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

The people who still work at twitter could do something about this. It's not like Musk knows how to program a website more complicated than like <html><body><p>hello</p</body></html>

Maybe they could like shadowban Musk and just have bots interact with him so he thinks he's making waves and being liked.

My thoughts on this:

Twitter, under Elongated Muskrat, does not have as much of a reach as it used to. Due to this, most of these numbers are probably due to troll farms from Russia, China, North Korea, and any other country who has an interest in destabilizing the US. While we should be wary of these numbers, we should also remember that this idiot has probably come up with a way to conflate these numbers. I don’t understand why people are looking at this like Twitter is still Twitter, and not X. Twitter is dead, guys. The brand has been tarnished. The power is no longer there. He can make every single one of his posts look like it has a billion views, a trillion likes. It’s not real. Twitter has no power. X has no power, except for those dorks who give Elongated Muskrat money to get a little emoji next to their names.
