All these company based coins are essentially grey market stocks, sell coins for free capital, coins gain value on perception of company value. Plus Elon can continue pumping and dumping. The distopian future of company owned currency sounds terrible.

I just think they're neat!
They're scrip. Spendable at the company store.
Everything old is new again.
I owe my soul to the company store.
Another day old and deeper in debt.
This is definitely going to work and, moreover, Elon will eventually use it to perform a rug pull at a scale not seen since like the previous week maybe.
Didn't he already do this with another coin he made up?
I know he did it with Doge, but that was a meme coin he wasn't involved in making.
I know so many people who were so fucking convinced they were going to be rich from doge coin.
My dumbass brother is one of them.
Also I told him to sell his bitcoin when it was at $44k and still plummeting cause it was going to drop below $20K (so rebuy then) and he didn't do that either...
Ah yeah that's the one I was thinking of, thanks
All behold, the return of corporate scrip.
What was the original Simpsons screenshot? I want to know what those signs originally said.
I don't know which episode, but the signs originally said "we don't take itchy & scratchy money". Hope that helps!
Seems to be S6E4 Itchy and Scratchy Land
It works just like regular money, but it's, uh... "fun"
except it's not because it's value is way more unstable than regular money (I'm no expert in this so please don't murder me in my sleep)
Basically stock, but uncontrolled? (maybe not the right word)
It's company scrip, the same bullshit unions busted 100 years ago.
Did I hear a rock and stone?
rock and stone to the bone
What episode is this from?
I’m assuming the one where they go to Itchy & Scratchy Land, which the internet tells me is season 6, episode 4.
I have much higher standards than that!
Not accepting any weak two-X whiskey, neither.
