I agree Qualcomm is said to be going to charge more for their SOC's which aren't AFAIK on par with apple arm soc's. But due to android dominance, they can do that.

We need another serious player.

I mean mediatek is capable. We see that they are using vivo's x100 series but not the ultra.

Just wait for someone to exploit it, that's pretty common with mediatek SoCs
