Why the National Guard took so long is an interesting question but the more important one is why didn't the FBI, etc notice the absolute state of the maga-verse in the weeks leading up to Jan 6th? All their plans were out in the open, even I knew what was going to go down and I'm just a random internet person on the other side of the world not the NSA or whatever.

They had weeks to prepare but instead got caught with their pants down. It was completely negligent. Heads should roll.

That really should be a bigger scandal. They were posting plans on public forums. Half the internet knew what time it was gonna happen.

Half the internet knew what time it was gonna happen.

They had T-shirts printed well in advance, hell even the media had their vans and cameras ready in advance of the event, the FBI should have been well aware if any of them watched cable news at all in the week leading up to the event.

the FBI should have been well aware

I'm sure they were.

Probably because a lot of the FBI supported Trump

For all Trump's screaming about the FBI, they still keep Hoover's name on the building. They knew it was coming and looked the other way.

No it's not. Trump didn't call them up until way later because he wanted his boot licking psycophants to take over. He appointed the cock-gobbling head of the agency like he appointed those cock-gobbling justices.

Anger? Chaos? Excuse me but many Republican representatives have assured me that this was all very calm and patriotic and proper.

"“You’re going to ask me — in the middle of the thing when they’ve already breached the inaugural stuff — ‘should we call … the National Guard?’” Pelosi asked her chief of staff Terri McCullough incredulously while they rode in an SUV that would take them to Fort McNair. “Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?”"

Generally, it requires the governor of a State to call out the National Guard, but in this case, D.C. is not a state. There is no Governor.

Soooo...

https://dc.ng.mil/About-Us/

"The D.C National Guard was formed in 1802 by President Thomas Jefferson to defend the newly created District of Columbia. As such, the Commanding General of the D.C. National Guard is subordinate solely to the President of the United States.  This authority to activate the D.C. National Guard has been delegated, by the President, to the Secretary of Defense and further delegated to the Secretary of the Army.  The D.C. National Guard is the only National Guard unit, out of all of the 54 states and territories, which reports only to the President."

Why is there any unaired footage of this?

Hasn’t Tucker and his team seen all of it?

So why can’t everyone else?

Hasn’t Tucker and his team seen all of it?

It is top secret, therefore only Kremlin agents are allowed to see it all. GOP logic.
