Not trying to downplay their situation, but the craziest part to me is the boss is actually competent and knowledgeable of their environment.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 5 months ago

Yea. Completely unrealistic.

Because it paints the boss as a pig or because the boss is a pig or because the audience is full of pigs?

The line between supportive and molestation-via-keystroke was certainly breached several times.

I mean, it's 4chan. People have very little qualms being as disgusting as humanly possible when behind the shield of full anonynity.

It's 4chan. If you're trans and posting for real there, that's your choice. This is honestly the most wholesome (pun omitted) response you could hope for.

Holesome lol

[–] [email protected] 15 points 5 months ago

You pass! Congratudolences.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I'm going to borrow "congratudolences", it sounds like it could describe a lot of situations

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago

It's the inverse of "thanks, I hate it."

The fact none of thoses comments are transphobic is surprising me

It still wouldn't surprise me when you know how easy it is to stay anonymous on this site

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

Youre right its still surprising because the LGBT board is very transphobic.

I agree about her boss but them normalizing that 50 year old men "never stop liking" women that young or "see them as heavenly creatures" bothers me extremely.

I've always only liked women around my age. Already in my teenage years girls more than 2-3 years younger grossed me out, even when they themselves were interested.

Well different people are different, but you only need to go on pornhub and see the most popular genre is teen porn to see that men are mostly attracted to younger women.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 5 months ago (1 children)

While you're probably, sadly, right I also think pornhub users overall are pretty young themselves. Teens wank a lot more than old men.

It's just genetics, we know as a society that's it's not really appropriate for older men to be with younger women despite our basic instincts. I don't think understanding human urges is inherently sad, just something to keep in mind.

Some people call people like Mick Jagger and Leonardo DiCaprio sick for being with young women but I don't think it's wrong if both people in the relationship are happy.

I mean... yeah, that all seems accurate. OP is really that naive?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago (1 children)

While I enjoy working with some of my peers, we're leaping to a really sketchy conclusion based on post-game analysis of a group not well-known for normal social skills and cues.

I've had some managers demonstrate a lot of caring and review when they're not getting the cue that I understand the process or material, and giving them the benefit of the doubt I'm unwilling to decide that's not what's happening here.

Opinions being what they are, all I'm saying is reserve judgement.

If your talking about neurodivergence, i don't think boss should assume ops needs a 1 on 1 class even if op is in fact on the spectrum.

I would really struggle with such a thing, were still unique and i need text based information to understand as I cannot pay (actual) attention to a talking person, only fake it which is not useful.

It would eventually burn me out.

At my job i came forewards about my autism and as a result were able to have open conversations about what accommodations i do and do not need.
