/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

"Ah but when they examine the wreckage and find the ambassador's body, they will discover he had a BAC of .15 and assume the cause of the crash was merely pilot error from being intoxicated."
Bathtub gin may be part turpentine, but there's still cheap booze too.
When even Admirals don't care, nobody is going to care
He could just claim he couldn't see it well enough to identify it, given his allergy and all
Did they ever explain why it was supposed to be illegal?
Trade embargo.
CRETAK: A glass of Romulan ale, Doctor?
BASHIR: Thank you, Senator.
ROSS: The trading embargo has been officially lifted, if you were wondering.
BASHIR: It hadn't crossed my mind, actually.
ROSS: To one of the many benefits of the Alliance.
"Benefit"
Yet the rate of consumption within the Federation went unchanged.
Romulan Ale is the marijuana of Star Trek.
Pretty sure whatever that shit Raffi was vaping is the marijuana of Star Trek.
I think just because it was Romulan. I've always assumed it was supposed to be analogous to Cuban cigars: as in one of those things that were technically illegal, but people always managed to get their hands on them.
Bingo. Per Memory Alpha:
Julian Bashir ordered a glass of Romulan ale in Quark's in 2375. (DS9: "Covenant") This was possible as Romulan ale had been legal in 2375 during the Dominion War, when the embargo was lifted as part of the alliance between the Federation and the Romulans. It was served aboard the USS Bellerophon on its way to Romulus and on the planet itself during a reception. Senator Cretak, Admiral Ross, and Doctor Bashir shared a glass of the drink in the mess hall of the USS Bellerophon. (DS9: "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges")
I only use if for medicinal purposes!
The Romulan Ale at Quarks is as authentic as the Cuban cigar I got at a Mexican resort.
At least the Cardassian Kanar is real, albeit, expired. Doesn't seem to stop Damar, though.
Kanar is like pizza. When it's good, it's good. When it's bad, it's still pretty good.
It doesn't look anything like ale and isn't usually drunk like it either, so the name is weird.
Based on facial expression, appears more like a barleywine. Andorian ale seems to get a similar, if not stronger, reaction.
That’s brilliant with the antennae
Jeffrey Combs grew those antenna just for the part of Shran. Brilliant actor.
I love barley wine!
