Lemmy411 - Don't know where to find what you're looking for?
As with /r/411 this is where you ask what Community you're looking for but not finding. Perhaps a bit more helpful now that some communities are only found on certain instances.
Found/new community announcements - there are numerous "announcement type communities - see https://lemmy.ca/post/612532
There is also [email protected]
Before you request There are several resources available to find communities and resources and these have been pinned to the top.
- there are community search engines at https://browse.feddit.de/ and https://lemmyverse.net/communities
- there are numerous other "find a community" and "community announcement" .. communities (list stickied; if you find another, comment pls)
- we will publish a Community Listing (at an as-of-yet-undetermined schedule)
e

I cracked up laughing when this little dude came up. I never expected that sort of humour in a new Nintendo licensed film tbh (though it was a welcomed set of laughs!)
I'll just list a bunch that I'm subscribed to that fit that description. Some aren't so active though.

I'll also mention [email protected] even though it's pretty dead, since a) it's pretty hard to find by searching, what with it being called Community, and b) I'm a mod there, mainly just because the previous mod left and I wanted to get rid of a sticky post from many months ago.
If anyone's running a community, please don't put "It's like X community on reddit" as the sidebar description. People that didn't use that community on reddit might want to join too, if they know what it's about!
Also; Jonathan, you broke up with him like a year ago. 8 months ago was the time to move on.
[email protected] small group if people who share what's for dinner, since I'm in spain it's not just folks down under!
good nerdy memes
Cats, as usual.
Someone asked that recently on [email protected] and I listed a bunch of active communities that were not news, tech, or memes: https://lemmy.world/comment/10380313
To find more, click on "Communities" then "All" then "Top Week" then look through the pages and subscribe to ones that look good.
- Since you're on lemm.ee I think that'd be: https://lemm.ee/communities?listingType=All&sort=TopWeek&page=1
- On lemmy.world that's: https://lemmy.world/communities?listingType=All&sort=TopWeek&page=1
- etc.
Well, everything I've seen from lemmynsfw.com has been pretty good.
Here's some of the ones that keep me more on my Subscribed feed rather than all, to help keep things up beat. They're all pretty active and I haven't seen them in other comments yet.

No news here! Just fractal like art I make using images from CRTs.
Why is the community feed baren?
I've been away! Got a large batch coming next week. Thanks for taking a look though!
What is it that you like?
If you don't want communities that require specific tastes, or any thinking:
Things like [email protected] are pretty general interest, but [email protected] or [email protected] might be more interesting.
Join the modern pastime of forcing machines to hallucinate for your pleasure. Or just enjoy/complain about the art. So long as you aren’t rude, you’re probably welcome!
