What's going on with that metal wall coating?
Terrible Estate Agent Photos
Terrible photos listed by estate agents/realtors that are so bad they’re funny.
Posting guidelines.
Posts in this community must be of property (inside or out) listed for sale which contains a terrible element. “Terrible” can refer to:
-
the photo itself (finger over the lens, too far away, people in the shot, bad Photoshop, etc.)
-
the property (weird layout, questionable plumbing, unsound structure, etc.)
-
the interior (carpeted bathrooms, awful taste interiors, weird mannequins/taxidermies/art, inflatable pools indoors, etc.)
-
the actual listing itself including unusual descriptions and unrealistic pricing. However, this isn’t a community to discuss the housing market in general. This is a comedic community - let’s keep it light.
-
Photos can be sourced from anywhere and be any age, but please check they haven’t already been posted.
-
Censor any names/contact details of private individuals.

Mark the post NSFW if it includes nudity or sensitive content
Rules.
This community follows the rules of the feddit.uk instance and the lemmy.org code of conduct. I’ve summarised them here:
- Be civil, remember the human.
- No insulting or harassing other members. That includes name-calling.
- Respect differences of opinion. Civil discussion/debate is fine, arguing is not. Criticise ideas, not people.
- Keep unrequested/unstructured critique to a minimum.
- Remember we have all chosen to be here voluntarily. Respect the spent time and effort people have spent creating posts in order to share something they find amusing with you.
- Swearing in general is fine, swearing to insult another commenter isn’t.
- No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia or any other type of bigotry.
- No incitement of violence or promotion of violent ideologies.
Looks like a converted hospital room with those outlets in the metal wall.
Electromagnetic shield?
Realtor: privacy implements against electronic snooping!
The built the tin foil hat into the room, so you don't have to sleep in one.
It seems you haven’t seen Scandinavian prison cells…
Let's see the rest of it then!
Did a reverse image search and it's not quite as bad as I thought:

What the hell is that room with the weird recesses in the wall with 3 random dressers jammed in there like they belong? And the chairs awkwardly sitting there like that's some kind of socialization space??
That will be 1700 per month sir.
For a 2br in central London? That place is super cheap.
Maybe that was originally shelves?
You could put a tv and some stereo / game equipment in there, then the chairs make sense.
Thanks - wonder what the second bedroom looked like. Spacious I expect /s
Surprised to see a bath though. Would have thought a shower would be the order of the day. Not like you're going to have a nice relaxing soak with candles and bubbles .
There’s another pic that looks very similar to OP but it’s not the same. If those are both the bedrooms then wtf is that metal shit and where do those windows look into?
This place is like some converted bunker.
Edit: ok I think those are the kitchen cabinets those windows look down into, lol from over the sink. Better not be fucking when someone else is making dinner.
The windows are a plus
Extra safety because somebody will watch you sleep.
Realtor: non glaring natural lighting at all times of the year!
This is in central London, in a nice area. It's much more spacious of other flats I've seen in London (and worse areas). Yes, it's a basement. If you could afford £1766/month of rent it's still not a terrible deal. You COULD find a better place, but sometimes you don't have the time to keep looking, you have to take the less bad option. For a computer gremlin like me having no natural light would be a bonus tbh.
What's with the metal? Was it a kitchen before?
Realtor: convenient to clean wall coating!
i don't tlsee anything wrong with this except the weird metal coating
The floor window is a nice touch
How much?
1700, 2br kings cross, London. Someone linked it further up
Realtor: discerning buyers only!
This was literally the size of my student housing apart unit. I could stretch my arms and touch the opposite walls.
