This just barely qualifies as a hack, but hey why not...
Poke about six or seven holes in a solo (plastic) cup with a soldering iron. Pour water through it from a gallon jug or whatever else would cause a huge splash or damage seedlings if you poured from it directly. Enjoy the space you saved and the $10 you didn't spend on another can that looks dusty at the end of the season.
Scissors would work too, just more likely to get sharp edges and a less consistent set of water droplets.
