basically I'm seeing a therapist rn cuz I had concerns about having autism and adhd (runs in the family), I have no clue if my therapist is intentionally dragging this on or if it really does take this long, I've had 3, 1 hour sessions so far. I don't have enough money to keep paying them for long and I've told them that. she said she'll do a differential diagnosis for it(?) idk what that means. What can I do to get diagnosed quicker and can it even be done quicker.

also English not my first language so don't kill me for it pls

I have certain items of clothing that are so unbelievably soft new, but after sometimes even just ONE wash, they become itchy and almost crunchy. After multiple washes, my SO with sensory issues ~~can't~~ doesn't like to wear them any longer. One such item example is using a polyester/spandex blend, and many are something like this. I follow the instructions exactly on the tag... I've tried all manner of things based on google:

  • washing on delicate, inside out, like colors, like fabrics
  • fabric softener/no fabric softener
  • small loads
  • hang dry/tumble dry low
  • different amounts of detergent, different types of detergent

Nothing seems to help. I use a variety of different detergents; original tide, coldwater tide. I've tried additions like Oxiclean, washing soda, dryer balls.

The water hardness where I live is considered hard at 9 gpg. I don't have a water softener. Is this what could be causing it?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Just what the title says, my Balcony pools with like and inch or an inch and half of water every time it rains. I don't mind squeegeeing it off but i accidentally hit my neighbor with rainwater the other day and I felt really bad. I also feel like I'm getting water on everyone else stuff when I do it. Is there a solution to having the water drain while its raining so I don't have to worry?

I (22F) haven’t had a job in seven months. My resume looks awful because of the gap so no places are even offering me interviews. I had a car, but unfortunately it broke down on me and I wasn’t able to fix it in time before it was repossessed. I live in a very small city, so I have no access to public transportation. Thankfully my boyfriend (23M) has been able to take care of the bills for the meantime. I just feel so awful that I can’t help provide for us. It’s really been taking a toll on my mental health because I’m staring at my phone all day (either applying to jobs or distracting myself from feeling like a complete failure). I’ve applied to WFH jobs, but as I stated earlier my resume isn’t great. My boyfriend said he’d give me rides if it lined up nicely with his work schedule, but I don’t want to cause more stress on him. If anyone has any ideas of how to get out of this rut it would be so greatly appreciated.

I've been having some car problems since the beginning of last year and it finally gave up on me a few weeks ago. I've been able to survive without it but my town doesn't really support public transportation and I'm going to need a new one soon, if I'm going to be able to get to work. So I need some fast cash. Any hacks?

Hello -on mobile so formatting will probablybe horrible sorry.

I have yellow teeth, not absolutely horrid but I'm not comfortable smiling with them. I recently got married and all I can see in the pictures is my yellow teeth

What are some ways I can whiten them at home? I use whiting toothpaste, is there anything else? I'm absolutely not looking for movie star whiteness, I'd take a tiny improvement and be happy, or even if I just don't make it worse.

Note- I cannot stop drinking caffeine yet as I'm uneducated for ADHD but that's in the future which I know will also help.

Thanks to anyone to offers advice :)

Do you have working diy method for waterproofing canvas? No so obvious one, like buy special spray. Does the hair spray trick really work? Or any cleaning supply?

The grill is already hot so it takes no time at all to get it to cleaning temp. This saves gas, since you don't have to heat it to cleaning temp from cold the next time you use it. And as a bonus, your grill grates are always clean and don't smell.

The last days the humidity has been around 58-62% in my home. Plus temperatures around 27-30 degrees in every room as well. The humidity outside currently is around 60%, at night even up to 95%, according to my weather app.

Recently I started a new job and so far I like the job and want to keep it. According to my smart watch I slept around 5 hours overall the last 2 nights. I can't focus on basic things that are not that hard.

I'm on my way to work now and I am very tired and exhausted.

I have a mobile AC at home and even if I used it for 30 minutes, the temperature and humidity goes up again after I turned it off.

Windows are shielded with aluminum foil.

I can't air my rooms well due to neighbors who smoke throughout the day (from every direction) so I have to be in the room where I currently air. Also, there is a burning smell when the afternoon starts and it lasts until midnight, most of the time this happens at weekends.

I live under a roof (attic).

Looking for good tips for the next 1-2 weeks (not sure how long this condition will last).

Hello Fresh, Everyplate, Homechef, Dinnerly, Hungry Root, Blue Apron, Cookunity and probably more. Those are just the ones I have been using. Sign up a new account and get a good discount. Cancle your account and go to the next company. By time you've gone through all of them they're gonna give you great discounts to come back. Rinse and repeat. Also if you have a significant other you can basically do it twice. I just ordered 7 meals for 2 with one premium on hellofresh comback discount for 66$

Help me. I run a daycare with 15 kids, most of whom are in diapers. We take the diapers straight to the outside bin which keeps the house from stinking, but these summer days leave me with a piping hot plastic can filled with shit, and it’s killing me. I’ve read about baking soda, vinegar, Lysol, but nothing can battle 100+ poop diapers sitting in the sun for 5-7 days. I have no shade options to shield the trash can. What can I do? 🤢🤢

My apartment is 16 years old and has horrible white pattern tiles in the kitchen/bathroom. Years ago someone must have used wax on them that I just cannot, for the life of me, clean off. I can scrape it with a razor blade and that’s about it. I have tried everything I can think of including bleach and TSP and nothing seems to touch it. Does anybody have some industrial type cleaner they can recommend for this?

I just moved into an apartment that has carpet underneath the bar area. Planning to get a plastic mat to protect the carpet but is there some kind of carpet protection we can use that also goes up the wall a lil bit? Concerned that wet stuff may quickly run off the edge and onto the carpet if we spill something which would defeat the purpose

Original Title: Brought my very old leather jacket to a professional repair shop, but just in case the fixed hole still leaves noticeable marks, what non-military and non-sport patch would you recommend in order to hide it the most elegant way?

I always thought spending more than 20 bucks on a trash can seemed ridiculous, but I now have a different opinion.

I recently learned that cheaper trash cans don't hold odor in like nicer ones do because they are not made as intentionally, so you will end up with a stinky kitchen quicker or you will have to take your trash out when the bag isn't actually full. We had a cheap plastic trash can and with the house being a bit warmer this season, our kitchen was getting smelly just a few days after changing the bag (and we don't even put food in it!). The cheaper plastic ones don't seal together well so the odor escapes really easily.

We swapped our can out for a secondhand stainless steel trash can that we got on Facebook marketplace for a quarter of the brand new price, and now you can only smell the trash when the can is actually opened to throw something in. Our kitchen smells great otherwise! I also talked to my family about this and they had the same experience with upgrading. So if you are struggling with your trash can stinking up your house, you might consider upgrading the can to a nicer model - and if you can, buy it secondhand to save money! That's a win win.

This just barely qualifies as a hack, but hey why not...

Poke about six or seven holes in a solo (plastic) cup with a soldering iron. Pour water through it from a gallon jug or whatever else would cause a huge splash or damage seedlings if you poured from it directly. Enjoy the space you saved and the $10 you didn't spend on another can that looks dusty at the end of the season.

Scissors would work too, just more likely to get sharp edges and a less consistent set of water droplets.

Not remotely claiming this to be original and apologies if it's been posted here 20 times before.
