I'm seeking assistance in selecting an ultrawide monitor and would greatly appreciate your recommendations.

I'm currently torn between two options:

  • LG 49WQ95C-W
  • Neo G9

However, I'm beginning to wonder if a 49-inch monitor might be too large for my needs, as my requirements are quite varied, making the decision challenging.

I'd like to ask for your suggestions based on the following criteria:

  • Software development tasks (where I believe an IPS panel would be the ideal choice)
  • KVM functionality (for seamless switching between my MacBook and PC, with the ability to switch peripherals across 2 or 3 different computers)
  • A higher refresh rate for casual FPS gaming

Despite defining these requirements, I'm finding it difficult to locate a monitor that meets all three criteria. As a result, I'm considering dropping the KVM requirement due to the rarity of monitors that fulfill all these aspects.

I'm also contemplating a switch from using two 2K monitors to a single ultrawide display. I'm uncertain whether a 49-inch monitor might prove to be too large, and I'm considering alternatives in the 38-40 inch range. Unfortunately, during my visits to local stores, the largest curved ultrawide monitor they had on display was 34 inches, preventing me from evaluating the larger options in person.

I would be extremely grateful if you could recommend a suitable monitor based on my needs. Thank you so much!
