Horizontally gifted comrades,

I'm finally looking to step up from 34" 3440x1440 to the 38" high refresh offerings of comparable pixel density. Has anything new happened in this space that I'm missing or have we heard of anything upcoming, either in terms of bigger (40" 21:9 would be perfect for me) or faster (the 38s seem to all be <200 refresh rate). If not, what's your view of the best 38" for both gaming and productivity (productivity being the reason I'm not looking at the 34 OLEDs)?
