why do .x86_64 and .12a are not used as flatpak and appimage? (zerobytes.monster)

.86_64 is an executable that work in any distro, so, why does it haven't the popularity that flatpak and appimage, snap have?

what's your thoughs on it?

edit: the image above is a file that i thought it had a file extension (.12a) but i'm wrong, its just the version of it lol
