OK so visual ping doesn't work because the website is over-designed. pagecrawl seems to work, but it's sent by email, I'd prefer an RSS feed.
They make email to rss tools, just use one of those in conjunction with pagecrawl.
cant you maybe have any agent like changedetection or huginn use selenium to crawl the page and fetch said info? i think changedetection has rss feeds for changes which include plaintext and/or screenshots.

I've followed his instructions but failed to create a feed.
Looking through the page source, there are 18 RSS feeds but they're all for podcasts. Sheesh.
Yeah this is pathetic.
