I believe translucent or trans for short is an old term which may offend some people. The preferred term nowadays is opacity deficient or people with additional opacity requirements when talking about a group.
If you or a loved one think you may be opacity deficient, don't be ashamed and call the national hotline or speak to your doctor about it. We are proud of your see-through nature and will support you no matter what.

I felt like an idiot because it took me a bit too get it, then I read the comments and I felt a lot better about myself.
