The extension was already posted but not the trade. This is a really solid deal for us. Great option on the 1st rounder, an expiring/expendable Kubalik, and a mid-range D man in Sebrango (whom I liked but is also at best currently 4th or 5th on our defensive prospect depth chart). No Berggren/simlar. Overall, nice piece of business.

Mildly disappointed in losing Kubalik, he was a significant chunk of our scoring. This is a massive improvement, but losing one of the few people willing to score goals on this team always stings.

Biggest trade that the Red Wings have made for a player in years. That 1st and 4th basically is what we got for Hronek this year. I would have preferred to give up a defenseman instead of Kubalik but otherwise I think it was a fair trade. Ottawa got a haul though with two players and two draft picks for a guy who wasn't going to be there after next year.

Super happy with this trade, Kubalik was a very streaky player who bounced around the lineup a lot, plus the lower of the two firsts is wizardy by Yzerman, the extension numbers are great as well!
