Tabletop Rpg posts, content, and recruitment posts.

Recruitment posts should contain what system is being played, CW for any adult/serious themes players need to be aware of and whether a game is beginner friendly.

An obvious reminder of no racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia.

Emphasis on small independent rpgs like the ones in the TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Texas but not against dnd stuff.

Leftists' constant bickering about theory actually accomplished something for a change

[–] [email protected] 43 points 8 months ago (2 children)

In this case, constant bickering about Warhammer 40k lore and its various implications

FBI agents spending months doing research to be able to convincingly argue which primarch had the biggest dick (it was #2, it's why he was erased from history).

[–] [email protected] 12 points 8 months ago

Every dick was hand crafted by big E. They’re all imacculate in their own way. I imagine Sanguinius fit the golden ratio, whereas Russ had an absolute hammer. Perhaps Pertuarbo was unnecessarily circumcised and that’s part of why he had such a complex.

Rowboat would definitely have the generic “nice dick bro”.

Alpharius could change dicks.

Let’s see, Magnus had a bunch of extra blood vessels so it got extra red and turgid.

Primarch dick tier list!

Ferrus manus was desensitized because of his death grip grooming habit

Buy these 30 books to find out what brand of cereal x character eats for breakfast!

These feds are not built for puppygirl discourse.

They don't have the range

Infiltration is made more difficult by the communal nature of the lifestyle

aw, poor bourgeois ghouls having a hard time faking humanity

Joining the FBI so I can get funding for my 3000pt Eldar army

[–] [email protected] 46 points 8 months ago

Also the bit about turning to 3D printing as a cost cutting measure. Quick someone call Games Workshop I think I just figured out how to bankrupt the FBI.

I could be bribed to be a 'spy' for magic the gathering cards fr fr... Just inundate them with misinfo and continue to ask for more money to buy more and more expensive cards, while at the same time radicalizing the pod of players I'm playing with because they keep losing to my legacy power level commander deck... I've only got vibes of leftism from lurking on cth since 2018 and living as a wage slave so I'd fit in doubly so since I've yet to actually read theory... Because deep down I'm a lib... I need to finish state and revolution at least...

[–] [email protected] 33 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I need to finish state and revolution at least...

!!! Yes you absolutely do. The ending is the best part where he's like "Fuck guys I have so much more to right about this but I gotta go kill a monarch brb"

[–] [email protected] 20 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I think I've only gotten like 10 pages in before my eyes glaze over and I lose my spot because I'm reading it as a PDF. The part about the state merely being a thing that legitimizes itself instead of something external that grants it legitimacy has stuck out to me, much in the same vein that a police department internally investigates itself and finds no wrongdoing... Like.. No shit dude. It's called a conflict of interest.

Oh boy do I have what you need.

One of the hosts is basically a stand-in for folks like you (and me not long ago) so you will love this.

Bookmarked for later, this'll make it a little easier for sure. Feel like my popper abuse was a contributing factor, making it hard to focus and generally making my head fuzzy, so I'll give it another go with reading because I want to ensure I understand what's said and re read to make sure. But if I keep putting it off I'll definitely give it a listen. Thank you!

[–] [email protected] 6 points 8 months ago

Thank you so much, I've been hoping for something like this for a while.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Eh, the FBI doesn't really have anything to worry about from mtg groups. If Hasbro's endless money grabs aren't getting players rioting, nothing will.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 8 months ago (2 children)

Wdym, sloppily incorporating other intellectual property is very hard work, much harder than fleshing out their own intellectual property. /$

Fr tho it feels like ready player one right now and imo is pretty gauche in execution. That plus the current story from what I've briefly come across online or through whatever cards were left behind at the last lgs I was at seems lazy. Like war of the spark 2.0 and a rehash of a rehash. It is what it is. Bought proxies though, gonna start printing some as well once I've got all the money I need saved up. Once I start printing probably hand a few out to anyone who gets salty I use proxies because they were duped into spending thousands on cheap cardboard... I'll use it as a teachable moment.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 8 months ago (2 children)

War of the spark was just them cashing in on avengers

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, but isn't that what they've done again with new new phyrexia?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

I still don’t understand that one, that plus the whole world tree thing that makes planeswalkers even less special.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

Years after endgame too lmao

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, I'm starting to use more and more proxies. Though I was totally down with them to begin with, it's my group I'm working on. My bro-inlaw got me into magic a couple years ago, so we bond over buying boxes and cracking packs. But I've at least convinced him we should stop pre-ordering and wait for box prices to drop. Our LGS had the Markov Manor playbooster box selling for even more than what we were paying for set booster box. Just wild. I think that was the last straw for him. Except for Fallout, of course. 🤪 I bought some blank cards a while back and one of these days wanna try doing a thermal transfer on them.🤞

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Do you have any place I can learn more about printing my own cards? All I've been able to find is Chinese printers doing it for 1$ a card. I'd like to know if it could be done better or cheaper or on my own or something.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) (1 children)

I'm afraid I've not actually done like DIY yet. My sister is one of those craft people who has like a crickit and a thermal press thing, so I'm reasonably sure it's possible with some blank cards I've bought and her sublimation printer(video), but I've not gotten the chance to test it yet.

I've also considered doing this: which is using a tool/website to put together a bunch of cards and then send it to a printer, but again haven't done it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KA9pY0NNMvc

I have ordered some cards from this place, and they're not horrible, but the resolution wasn't quite as good as I was expecting. https://mtg-print.com/

For the most part, I still just take the tokens for doublesided cards and just write my card on the damn thing.

When the neoliberalisation got so bad, you can't afford to infiltrate leftist hobby groups (where are those groups btw, most 40k enjoyers I've interacted with were libs at best but mostly chuds)

[–] [email protected] 22 points 8 months ago

I have a couple friends/comrades that are into WH40k, and I like it personally just as a curiousity.

It’s not infiltrating, the original inspirations of the series was stealing form a wide range of sources we find agreeable here and being anti Tory (as a way to expand the grimdark Tolkien ripoff)

[–] [email protected] 23 points 8 months ago

Critical support for this agent trying to con the government into paying for his 10K point Army.

~~Can you not out my dirty laundry in front of everyone? They're already laughing at me at Langley about it~~

Bit aborted: turns out I work for the CIA, nevermind

[–] [email protected] 12 points 8 months ago

My principles would be tempted if somebody offered to buy me an army ngl. I’d say no eventually, but maybe grift something out of it as a part of the will they/wont they

Shits too expensive :pain:

[–] [email protected] 10 points 8 months ago

This makes me feel better about asking people about The Red Gobbo

[–] [email protected] 9 points 8 months ago (2 children)

I always feel like they absolutely publish this stuff to make us more complacent.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Might be some of that, but it's easy to forget that they do have to try to suppress us. It's not like they can simply push a button and the leftist movement du jour falls apart -- effort and resources are required. They're usually successful because they have a ton of people and money to throw at us (and every potential roadblock is lowered because they're the government), but if the cost of suppression goes up and the number of people they want to suppress goes up, too...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago

Sometimes I think about the cops that infiltrated that tiny anti-war group in the UK and married and had kids with some of the members, and if they're willing to put that much effort into it, what could reading a little theory and engaging in a little banter be?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

I mean, if they really wanted, they could just post about how they flopped up with an actual progressive force (PSL, for example)

[–] [email protected] 7 points 8 months ago

Why would a leftist group buy the models opposed to 3d prints or just stand ins
