It's nice to have some old style news from time to time. I mean I despise the guy and his regime, but this is the kind of news that we are used to and that tells us: ok, we are still far from ww3 from that place. In case you'll miss it: Next, NK is going to sink a fishing vessel or two with glorious missiles. After that, NK will have a ridiculous demand or claim that will have Kimmy to meet with some foreign dignitaries. Meanwhile the G7 minus Russia and China will set up a meeting in some seaside resort in automn. Where they will intensly study the NK claims between luxurious meals. Before deciding that US milk and cereals could be exported to the EU if the US car market will open up to EU brands (none of the two will happen anyway.). NK gets a bit of money from China who will want to have Kimmy calm down while it extract itself from it's stagflation...

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Kim made the comments at a meeting of the Central Military Commission which discussed plans for countermeasures to deter North Korea's enemies, which it did not name, the report said.

Pak was replaced by General Ri Yong Gil, who previously served as the country's defence minister, as well as the top commander of its conventional troops.

When he was replaced in 2016 his sacking and subsequent absence from official events sparked reports in South Korea that he had been executed.

Photos released by KCNA showed Kim pointing at Seoul and areas surrounding the South Korean capital on a map.

The United States has accused North Korea of providing arms to Russia for its war in Ukraine, including artillery shells, rockets and missiles.

Kim also called for the military to conduct drills with the country's latest weapons and equipment to keep its forces ready for combat, the report said.
