When a corgi has long hair coming from its butt, those are colloquially called "wings"
So my baby girl has wings.
A place for optimism, relentless positivity, anti-doomerism, and snuggle sessions.
We're all in this together, and a better world is possible!
This is now also a space for organizing tips for our collective survival as we confront climate change and everything else. Still no doom-posting. We're here to work together, support each other, and boldly face the future.
Rules:
Familiarize yourself with the site-wide Code of Conduct
No doom, no gloom, only bloom. There's plenty of room for doomerism elsewhere. This community is solely for having a positive outlook on the future and spreading good vibes.
Be kind to your fellow users. This also means no arguing in the comm. Arguments and negativity are not conducive to blooming. Constructive discussion is good. No interest-policing. Support your comrades in their joy!
Always share good news. We can't exactly enforce this one, but if you have good news, please share it with us! Keeping happiness and positivity to yourself is the twelfth type of liberalism.

Lorikeets are the only nectar eating parrots. They have little nectar collecting brushes on their tongues
Dang, they are very pretty and also based on the second picture they eat Las Plagas Parasites from re4
Thats a native Australian flowering bush called a grevillea. They cme in lots of pretty colors and are choc full of nectar and pollen so the wildlife loves them. Great plants.
The more cool nature posts you can gimme today/morrow the better plz! I forgot until recently it's the 2 year anniversary of my best friend dying and I'll have to be a cook at a restaurant om vslnetines day during a blizzard. The next 24 hours are gonna be rough and cool nature shit helps a lot
they still exist
last one that really got me going was baleen but that was a awhile ago
long story short its keratin, not bone, so unrelated to teeths---baleen whales went teeth-->no teeth (suck feeder)-->mouth hair-->filter eaters. and this has to be said to be speculative technically since keratin-shit is hard to find in the fossil record, but i think it's theoretically pretty airtight
