submitted 1 year ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

I know everyone is like, I really like this old type ui, but i can't bear to use it. I want something similar to reddit. Is there any instance or anything i can do to change the ui of lemmy.

You can get an extension called Stylus and there are themes for Lemmy on there. I've currently got one setup so it looks exactly like Reddit!

Sorry I can't link, I'm on mobile right now, but hopefully that points your in the right direction!

If it's just a question of look, you can modify it with a bit of css, either written by yourself or using a theme (there are some on github)

Well, you could totally host your own instance and write your own replacement UI for it.

Or use a client for your OS. There's one for Linux and several for Android and iOS.

I personally don't consider the UI "dated" or "old" at all. I really like it. It's rough around the edges, yes. But "old"? No. I just want something that's fast and not the sh*tshow that's new Reddit.

I am sorry if I was offensive.

I don't think you're offensive at all. People have different tastes.
