I disagree that Star Wars is an example of HASO. It happened a long time ago in a galaxy far away. Those are aliens that just happen to look like humans!
Humanity Fuck Yeah!
HFY - Humanity Fuck Yeah! is a community for writers and artists to showcase their talent in the HFY genre and for people who enjoy them.
While traditional science fiction often presents humans as vulnerable masses seeking refuge from menacing aliens or as feeble beings overshadowed by aliens with superior logic, strength or empathy. HFY disrupts these archetypes by challenging the norm.
In the world of HFY, humanity is bestowed with exceptional qualities, giving rise to a sense of optimism and empowerment within the reader. It seeks to uplift and inspire, demonstrating the potential of human greatness and the capacity for overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds.

Only if you take the narrow view that "human" only means homo sapiens. See: Iain Banks and, IIRC, Verner Vinge
We don't really know where they originated from, might be some slaves they captured a long time ago in another galaxy 😁 But yes, Star Wars is far fetched.
I disagree on X-Files and Jericho. Mulder and Scully actually did make progress and Jericho is an apocalyptic survival series where people actually work together at least in their little village.
Is Generation Kill HWTF?
Yeah, sub-par examples but you have to agree that progress in X-Files came at a crawl with Scully and Mulder taking like three seasons to even realise the Cigarette Smoking Man was important. In hindsight I can't remember much about Jericho. I'll just let it stand there.
If Generation Kill is HWTF then NCIS is HFY too 😎 But don't ask me what Seinfeld or Little Britain is.
Seinfeld definitely is HWTF and Little Britain is WC.
