Do i personally think it was worth full price (i had it via AMD promotion), not exactly. there are aspects of the game that is clearly weak, mostly the exploration aspect (which is arguably the most inportant).
Starfield is definitely a game where you would want modders to fix the worst part of the game (giving value to exploration and making it less of a slog). Its not a terrible game, and if you just want a bethesda rpg, then it is one, its just a lot of people were disappointed because they saw potential that wasn't really met.
Justa small correction. People were disappointed because everything Starfield does there are games that do better. Questing and shooting is done better by Cyberpunk 2077 and Mass Effect trilogy. Space travel and exploration is done better by No Man’s Sky. Vehicle building is done much better by TotK, in my opinion. Also, Starfield is just boring, I got bored of it as soon I landed in New Atlantis. Thank Valve for refunds.
I wouldn't go that far. I have Totk still on pause because I personally didn't find it engaging enough and questing in cyberpunk isn't that much better than Starfield, and I beat both start to finish(both at launch, so ignoring any bandwagon style hate trains) so I definitely know how i'd feel about questing in both.
Ship building is actually one of starfields strongest points, as its pretty expansive. it's just related to exploration, not very important so a lot of people tend to skip it (and most of it is tied to the skill in the skill tree). Starfield creates a lot of in depth systems that didn't really give incentives into actually using them.
Nah. Wait for at least half off.
No. Maybe it never will. I would wait for a sale if you really want it, it already went 30% off at one point, and the Steam Winter Sale starts tomorrow.
Fucking paid mods. Was this confirmed earlier? We knew it was coming, but its another to have it actually confirmed.
I'm not even mad, just apathetic. I just dont care anymore. I want to be angry, feel some sort of emotion towards SF and Bethesda, but I don't.
I guess I'll go back to other games.
Paid mods? Where did it says that? Maybe I missed it
Yeah i just read through it and didnt find the mention at first glance as well. All i got from modding was them saying modding is part of their games and that the creation kit is coming.
Next, official mod support will be coming to Starfield with the launch of Creations.
Creations is what they call their latest iteration of paid mods in Skyrim.
