Twats. Past tense for tweets, obviously.
That's weirdly kinda the biggest blunder IMO. Every other similar platform is missing the verbiage, but then they go and hamstring themselves into the same boat. Like, what do you call a Threads or Mastadon post? Certainly not a Tweet, prob just a generic Post. It was a differentiator, and now they've voluntarily thrown it away.

I thought Xcommunications might have potential, but it’s too long
So Xcom for short…
I heard “Xclamations” somewhere which I will admit is somewhat clever. Too long though. And also “X” sucks. “Twitter” and “tweet” are way too iconic and this was a terrible move. Musk’s reputation is what’s killing the service, not the branding. The name and logo were a couple of the only things the creators got right in the first place.
My new word since april last year: toot ☺️

Same. Has a vaguely jizz-ish sound that, I think, suits the site well.
