Tech journalism has always been like this.
To avoid the terrible feeling of cringe, I always tried to steer clear of this kind of article, especially when it's written by someone who doesn't know shit about the content but still decides to talk about it.
I asked ChatGPT to make a car more car-y. It gave it 2 extra wheels and 3 extra windows. LOOOL so funny and cool right guys?
There was a lot of phone there that I would actually really like, and even more designs.
What was the point of this article? What was going through the writer's head as they wrote this article? Is there an approval process for these articles to be published? If so who approved this article? What was going through their head?
