The benefit of the Lemmyverse is that you get to see all of the fun communities that Reddit was intentionally censoring out of r/All!
There was a reason you saw us on Top of r/All for months on-end. Reddit has made sure to contain and censor that community to an extreme extent; so you will likely see many more DRS memers enter the instance fairly soon :)
Wtf is DRS
When you go to your stock broker to buy some stocks of some company, and your broker fills your order, you become the "beneficial owner" of those shares, which means that you are not the real owner. The real owner is Cede & Co.
DRS is the Direct Registration System. It enables shareholders to gain real ownership by directly registering the shares that they paid for into their own name with the issuing company's transfer agent.
