He better learn to dribble for this kind of money.

Don’t worry he will, just not with his left hand
Damn you for making me laugh at this so hard
Can't dribble with his left more than twice without losing the ball. Great contract, C's
Utterly absurd contract
Overpay, ofc, but then again, the real question here is - what other options did the Celtics have ? Which trade was actually doable, for a package of equal value in return ?
None, but that's not going to stop the incoming wave of kneejerky hot takes
Not only will the Celtics not win a game this season, but they will cease to exist as a franchise.
I just do not see his game elevating enough to justify this. He has some holes to shore up.
Not sure it'll justify the salary, but he's been consistently improving every year since he got to the league. Yes, everyone sees the gaps, but even with them he is a 2nd team all nba and has yet to reach his peak (imho). It's a massive contract but the front office believes in him, and that's something to keep in mind.
The Celtics will consistently get beat in the playoffs going forward by doubling Tatum and leaving Brown open.
That's not the behavior of a super max player
Based on them being as successful as almost any young duo ever has been as the 1-2 stars on a team?
Look when other all time greats won their first title. The difference between Tatum/Brown and others at the same age isn't not winning a title. It's how consistently they've been in the mix.
Damn that's a lot of money.
It was always going to be a super max.
You don't have a path to get better by not paying him.
Quite the massive salary for Jaylen.
Y’all have lost your minds, he was 2nd team all-NBA and a consensus top-25 player in the NBA and he’s gotten better every season.
