THE site "It's FOSS" suggests alternatives to FOSS. At least half of those alternatives are NOT FOSS, so why bother? █

Yeah, when I first got into Linux and FOSS I'd read their articles to get oriented. Even followed them on Mastodon. For a time, the articles and content were good, but after a while I noticed a decline in quality and more talk about proprietary things.

Nowadays, I've muted ItsFOSS on Mastodon and actively avoid reading their articles, because they run so many paid placements and low quality stories with non-free things placed front-and-center.

Glad I'm not the only one of this opinion. Let's hope ItsFOSS changes

They won't. Let's hope they're forgotten instead.

There website doesn’t even work, people who absolutely blocked all trackers are faced with cloud flare issues. Everything in itsfoss website is javascript. The sad part, there’s alternative to cloud flare but they won’t use it.

Generally I agree with the sentiment of the article, although I don’t get why OnlyOffice is called proprietary, as it’s licensed under the AGPL as far as I know…

Cryptpad doesn't support odt or odp. It only supports ods and exporting text to doc format.

This dude Roy Schestowitz actually just sounds like a Karen. Doesn’t seem like he has any idea what he is talking about. But it was nice seeing a HTML4/CSS2 page again, so thanks.
