When a new lemmy instance spins up, all the other instances don't know about it, so it can take a while for posts to appear in the All tab. Usually they don't appear until users start to subscribe to instances outside of the one they signed up for.

Through programming trickery (also known as stealing other people's hard work), I've made some of the big instances aware of us, so they'll start sharing posts with us.
