I understand parks are looking to standout with unique offerings, but I'm really struggling to understand this coaster design. Tilt drop seems like a mediocre gimmick (is it really an improvement on valravn dive?), the train configuration is as vanilla as it gets, and the track design seems subpar compared to other offerings in the park. Maybe it will surprise me, I guess we'll see.
"His cod piece hits different" guarantee this man never imagined he'd be describing exhibits like that lmao
I'm not sure how to help with FOIA, but my sleuthing align with your findings, this letter never went public.
It's really not necessary, please. Go do literally anything else.
They've updated the maps, my personal district changed the last couple years. But the maps they are using are still the ones the court explicitly ruled unconstitutional, I think from 2022. Brennan center has a nice timeline.
Well, they've built a technic mclaren recently too so that's two cars - maybe? lol. I'm just hoping for speed champions sets for all the teams.
Aw hell yeah. Maybe I can get a full set of speed champions now!
prophetic nature of The Boys
"History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes" Fascists always doing fascist shit, don't need to be prophetic when it comes from the same tired playbook.
As an ohioian, the current system isn't enabling some nobel pursuit of holding people accountable. It's blatantly "our team draws the lines, in a way that benefits our team, who can draw the lines next time, benefitting our team again"
And even after the R weighted supreme court rules "the lines are biased - throw out the map", they still find a way to use the map anyway. Yeah. Calling it a "repeal of gerrymander protection" is a joke and a half.
An anti-gerrymandering bill was introduced, this would take the power of drawing district maps away from a partisan committee made of all republicans, and give that power to a board of 15 people, including 5 reps from each party and 5 non-affiliated citizens.
The people who write the bill summary that appears on the ballot (republicans) worded it as "requires gerrymandering [...] in favor of the two largest parties". This clearly wrong summary was challenged in court, and the OH supreme court (republicans) has ruled this inverse description is legal, and will appear on the ballot.
We're in a position now where voters will have to vote Yes to 'gerrymander the district borders', to put this new bipartisan board in place.
If this seems muddy and confusing, it's because it is. Working exactly as designed.
The Ohio Redistricting Commission is responsible for multiple maps that have been ruled unconstitutional/biased, Vote Yes to reform Ohio's process for drawing district maps.
Really? Hmm, interesting it was so much more intense than the brake hold. I haven't had a chance to ride a tilt coaster so will take your word. I did get to ride an impulse coaster that had a hold and straight drop (Geauga Lake's Steel Venom/now Possessed) that was pretty fun. Guess if it's a similar sensation it'll be a good time.
