Fuck AMP. Ignore it, don't use it, let it wither and die off. Today.

Midjourney:

"epic medieval d&d fantasy scene, in the style of kirigami, only paper craft, beautiful Terry Pratchett style fantasy landscape, multiple concurrent seasons, fantastic sunlight, discrete glowing particles, engaging asymmetrical composition, mythical drama, perfect colors, theatrical dynamic lighting, masterpiece complexity, exquisite detail --v 5.2 --ar 16:9 --no stray marks"

Let's not forget that no one on-screen in that specific scene other than the host (John Hurt) was aware that the character was swapped for a neck-down prosthetic, so every single reaction by each actor was genuinely horrific in that they each "saw" a prop explode out of a human body. IIRC, the director went on to pay for counseling for most (all?) of said actors after the fact.

The Expanse, hands down.

Oh? How about that couch scene w/ Chel & Tulio, hmm? That ain't the sound of kissing, yo. She didn't sit up from a kissing his mouth position, either...

[-] [email protected] 54 points 11 months ago

How?! How is there an xkcd for EVERY gawdamned thing?!

Have you seen the millions that live in worse conditions (in the US alone), despite empty housing dwarfing those numbers? Just saying: yes, this is bullshit, but I help shake the feeling that this is what comes from showing corporate America that we, as a people, don't give enough fucks for the latter, so they can more easily get away with this... for even more profit.

In essence, it's symptomatic of the whole "As long as it's not me" mentality.

Why does that look like a miniskirt/boy-briefs from behind, with the X conspicuously centered?

[-] [email protected] 44 points 1 year ago

Seriously. What is this propagandist bullshit? Fucking sorry excuse for "journalism", Bloomberg. Blame the prols? Is that it? Push us to judge each other, to shame our fellow replaceables until what? We roll out the guillotine again? I'm here for it.

I'll even paint mine up so it says "Heroes work here!" right up at the top, so everyone knows who's pulling the ripcord. How about that?

3D Printed Gaming (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 year ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

3D Printed Gaming is a new community I've created for sharing 3D Printed things from every genre of gaming. From WIP painted figures, awesome terrain pieces, board game upgrades, even cosplay props & costumes! If it's 3D printed (or 3D printable) and related to gaming, share it with us here!

To wit, if it weren't for a select few groups on that other platform and the helpful members in them, I wouldn't have been able to learn as much as I have in the last couple years alone! Let's make this community even better than that. 🤓🤘🏼

Custom sculpted for a French client, inspired by the official version (to be awarded to the first player to finish the latest puzzle series in Sea of Thieves S9) — but this one's better IMHO. 🤪 Emerald eyes printing in a couple hours!

Should I design a way for the eyes to light up? I'm thinking of magnetizing the keyring so it attaches to the roof of the mouth and closes the circuit, lighting up the gems. Coin battery in the forehead for power. Thoughts?

Client is nearly as surprised as I am at each part's size when it comes off the Jupiter. 😱🤩🔥 Just absolutely colossal.

In other words, redifining its predominant use not as a username but something more spine the lines of smeg, etc. I'm all for not driving traffic to the site, and this is both helpful and entertaining. If Dan Savage and his audience can do it to a rectal fungal infection of an excuse for a politician, we can make this happen no sweat.

Only two more full print plates (Jupiters) to go, and the rear half of the torso and the big wings will be ready for post-proc & shipping! (The Bahamut medallion there is ⌀ 50mm, btw.) Then, we're onto a 200% Bahamut, by Lord of the Print — which will stand over 2ft tall and nearly 3ft wide, wingtip to wingtip. 😱

Lesson learned: Each full plate of these upscaled sculpts run about 1L of resin, so I'll be updating the pricing for the 150%+ versions. 🤣🤷🏼‍♂️
