This story makes you feel sad, angry, and hopeful all at the same time. His freedom isn't enough; Texas needs to make the $2 million in compensation happen.

We're talking about moving in ~4 years so we'll start saving up for a down payment on top of maxing out our IRAs. Right now, the plan is to convert our current house into a rental when it's time.

Haha. The author must live in a small apartment. My house winter bill is $40 and my summer bill is $160.

If we can have 5 months of this, I'd forgive the crazy summer we all just survived.

  1. My biggest issue is my wife doesn't find it fun so most of those are from before marriage or when she's out of town. I look forward to introducing the kid to it later on to possibly have a buddy.

Tip: You can say "Hey Google, flip a coin" and it'll animate it for you. We do this often when deciding on what to eat.

They'll release the schedule around mid-August. You can buy the shirt while you're there. Also, around the time that they release the schedule, they'll also announce late night shows around Austin. Attend one with your favorite artist. It's much more intimate than ACL since you'll be in a small venue. These days, I skip ACL and only attend late night shows.

Virtualbox all the way. That way, she can still run her day to day apps in macOS while only using virtualbox for the class. And here's the best part - once she reaches the point where she knows the setup she likes, she can create a new VM and set it up cleanly and delete the old one. I would only use the boot camp option if she will need to connect to hardware. VirtualBox can be finicky when it comes to USB devices.

How many times did you think "I should hire someone" but then you remembered how expensive it would be?

While my kids live at home, regular fire due to living in HCOL. Once they are off to college, I'd love to move somewhere cheaper and live a lean fire life. In other words, I should hit my number once they leave home.
