Downloading those "Linux ISOs" via torrent will absolutely saturate any residential internet connection if it's well seeded.

Might as well just download the video with yt-dlp then.

The cylindrical lithium cells can go off like a rocket, but the pouch cells in a phone just burn and are very difficult to extinguish.

Apart from the Galaxy Note 7 which had a design flaw in the battery, it's incredibly rare for a phone battery to catch fire without physical damage though.

That's why it's a good idea to take a btrfs snapshot before updating or changing things. Snapshots are almost instant and sure save a lot of work if you break something.

If you make or buy a handheld yagi antenna, you can usually get several good passes in a day since you can work the station at a lower elevation. The voice repeater is usually very busy during daytime passes, it's easier to get through on the digipeater.

Just go to your favorite pirate site and download a DRM free copy. You already paid for a copy that microsoft just took away your ability to play.

It's fine if they are not cloning a real person's voice. I still don't want to hear AI voices used for the main characters of a AAA game until the quality improves to the point that they are indistinguishable from a human though.

You don't even need a hacked camera to edit the metadata, you just need exiftool.

Just buy a small, industrial CT scanner and scan your device. Compare the results to a device that you know hasn't been tampered with.

Solar panels on your roof won't do much good if you're off grid and need to charge your phone. Just get a small, folding solar panel that you can carry in your backpack. A 10W panel will only need a couple hours of direct sunlight to fully charge a phone.

Firefox plus uBlock Origin is what you can do about it. I hardly ever see any ads. SponsorBlock is great if you watch youtube too.

I picked this little scope up from the Seapac swap meet a week and a half ago for $3. It turns out that all it needed was some contact cleaner to get it working again.

This is a portable scope that can run from 12V DC as well as an internal battery. I don't have the battery for it, but I could probably put some 18650's in there if I disable the built in charger.
