"Upvote [thing] so [thing] is first result when people search [thing] on google images" was always just the most dog-brained posts to me.
Apart from that? Yeah the dumbass posts about what women don't understand that are just regurgitating popular culture "Oh sometimes we just don't think, we're just so simple and straightforward, we're really horny" just the least curious introspective shit.
The dumbass chains of stale puns with thousands of upvotes.
The absolute debatelord energy.
The "oh I guess the CCP BOTS ARE OUT TODAY" posts.
The absolute lack of curiosity that oozes from most posts on that site.
Every subreddit for a popular culture thing is just full of people being horny for the characters and any attempt at deeper discourse is actively looked down upon.
Civility fetishism by smug assholes. Same thing lemmylibs do - Show up and say something horrendous or incredibly condescending, but because you didn't use a mean word, then that means you're not actually being shitty. Also linked to lack of curiosity.
"-10000000 SOCIAL CREDIT POINTS" posts are totally smart and funny though and you definitely prove something by making them
The cringiest thing was the synthesis of these where people would try to upvote pictures of Tank Man to the front page, because Tencent owns something like 10% of , so the Chinese would be totally owned, I guess.
