Not by much. She has permanent damage to her wrist and will be incapable of many normal things for the rest of her life.

And historically speaking, sword fights have rather more severe outcomes.
That was the joke.
Maybe, but it's also very likely she did receive permanent damage from a sword. Lot of important bits in your wrist.
Like, I'm glad she didn't lose her hand or a limb, but she will forever struggle in life. That sucks and I can relate, so I hope she can overcome it.
I wouldn't take that all at face value. Lots of reasons to exaggerate.
