“You know and I know it’s the toughest, most efficient, most effective border security bill this country’s ever seen,” Biden said. “So instead of playing politics with the issue, why don’t we just get together and get it done?”

Biden touted the bipartisan border bill as “a win for the American people,” calling it a “truly bipartisan initiative.” He called on the Senate to reconsider the bill, asking senators to “set politics aside” and for House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., to put the bill on the floor.

“We need to act,” Biden said, adding that Republicans in Congress needed to “show a little spine.”

If there's anyone left on the fence, they will see this as Biden reaching across the aisle, a good thing.

Ahahaha no. Biden's can't deal with criticism from the left so he's trying to win over the right, like he's done anything but that in his time in office. This is a terrible idea and empowers trump as a person.

Or it might make some Biden voters turn towards Trump, since it's legitimizing him in some ways.

Do you actually think that could happen?

Yes. At the fringes, there are always voters who can be swayed. This news will reach those voters on the Democrat side, it won't reach the same voters on the Republican side.
