Apolitically combatting anti-trans culture. All logic here, no politic. Surely if they oppose respectability politics, that is political?
Also am I right to kind of loathe the "apolitical queer"? Because I do at this moment. I think it's a ridiculous position to take and totally disregards the legacy of queer activists who worked so hard before us, so that our rights could be advanced, so that we could continue working toward queer liberation.
i feel similar. the apolitical queer is an aberration and is not actually common at all, i dislike that they make a place and lord over the majority because they have the resources and time to keep the space running. im just glad that foss fediverse stuff is making it possible for us to organize in a way that was impossible or piggybacked on niche hidden chatrooms before.
