- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

I recommend listening to Medhi Hasan debate this exact issue on the most recent episode of the podcast "Pod Save America".
So much better of a discussion than can be had in fediverse comments.
The most powerful thing I took away from it is that there are people in Michigan, right now, who have had literal dozens of family members back in Gaza who are now dead just since Oct 7. That actual, real, current loss of lives is always going to be more powerful than " other guy worse". A lot of them may just not vote instead of casting their votes for their Democratic president who's done less than motherfucking Ronald fucking Reagan did in picking up the fucking phone and calling Netanyahu.
Some of these people are my coworkers, and libs from other States keep dumping on them for their dissent. Its disgraceful.
What was the pod boys' take on it? Did it involve the phrase "and we get it. that sucks, but..."?
It’s insufferable listening to liberals tiptoe around the real problem- capitalism. I get it, ya gotta pay the bills with ads, but to never address the obvious problem only perpetuates that problem.
You're already aware, but yeah they libbed it up and offered nothing of substance. However they did let Mehdi talk so that was an effective win.
I guessed. I stopped listening to them right about the time Manchin killed BBB. Every time they were like "and we get it that sucks" I kept picturing the cable company employees from South Park.
You can answer your own question by listening to it :P
I could, but I don't feel like listening to 20 minutes of ads with the same unfunny punchline repeated over and over as an even more unfunny bit.
I argue it's a moral imperative to block or otherwise skip ads in all forms everywhere!
Seriously tho it's a cut above their usual episodes, specifically because of Hasan in my opinion
