Whenever I hear liberals mention a third party vote is a vote for Trump, it's like they're almost trying to say neutrality is implicit support for the status quo. Except they only apply it to voting because that's their entire framework. It's also a good example of how liberals can only see reality in terms of two teams.

Trump and his backers would undoubtedly support the complete Israeli takeover of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and the dislocation of millions of Palestinians.

Oh that would suck if we had a president who wanted to commit genocide against Palestinians. I can't imagine what that would be like.

Despite acknowledging that it would be bad politics, Trump would almost certainly support a complete, nationwide ban on abortion and probably also endorse Christian fundamentalist demands to ban contraceptives, along with nationwide book bans. His aides are already on record calling for the creation of concentration camps for immigrants, while he has made it clear he wants to prosecute and imprison his political opponents, journalists, and other dissidents

Liberals live in a separate reality. All of this is already happening regardless of who the president is. Row v Wade was overturned under Biden and there hasn't been a federal abortion protection. Do they really think Biden in a second term will suddenly change? What the hell is this

The end of the article does that stupid thing comparing progressives now to how the KPD wasn't able to make a coalition to stop Hitler. Yeah except the social democrats just spent the past 20 years sabotaging communists and also they killed Rosa Luxemburg. There wasn't a whole lot of mutual trust between the communists and social democrats at that point, even when fascists were in elections. Also whenever liberals make this comparisons they always imply that the Democrats are the like the Social Democrats in 1920 Germany. Yeah, no. The Democrats are more like the DVP (German People's Party), the conservative party allied with industrialists whose main policies were promoting austerity and privatization.
