I've been using HA for long enough that I was beginning to get confident. I'm gonna be honest though- I cannot understand 2 things and would love your input/tutelage.

  1. HACS != Add-Ons?

I have added custom github repos in HACS and Add-Ons before- today I learned these are completely different things??? I thought HACS was just unofficial community Add-Ons, but apparently not. 2. How do Integrations and Add-Ons differ? 3. I cannot wrap my head around the difference between HA Core and HA OS. I had 2 updates in my settings: Home Assistant Operating System 11.4 and Home Assistant Core 2024.1- leaving aside they are named very similar things, what are the differences?

Thanks for clarifying this
