It’s chicken. It isn’t political and it’s not worth waiting for
Condemning organizations which support hate speech and eroding of civil rights is too 'political', we better just not talk about it.
In the past five years what have they do upset you? Cite it.
The owner, Dan Cathy, is still actively involved with groups such as the National Christian Foundation, an organization spearheading the derailment of the Equality Act
So the answer is no, the company hasn’t done anything.
We found the perfect loophole guys! Instead of the company itself funding hatred and trying to get rid of equal rights we'll just have the owner, the one who profits from the company do it himself! Genius! The company is family owned. If you eat there you are directly funding these sociopathic billionaires.
So you’d rather harm the people who work there and own them? That’s some weird logic.
This logic only works if you pretend that there aren't other nearby restaurants needing service workers if business slows down at bigot chicken.
Nooooooo! If they haven't personally wronged you then you're just woke antifa that doesn't deserve good Jesus chicken. These fuckin people, man. The common thread is that they don't give a fuck about anybody else
So just like the Sackler family, right?
THE COMPANY MADE IT POLITICAL. Is it easier to understand who brought politics into the dinner conversation if it's in larger letters?

It's a private company. The actions of the owner of that company reflect on the company itself, and the profits of the company support the goals of the owner.
While the product, being inanimate isn't involved in the decision. You are just making excuses.
It’s sound you are making excuses that damage the community. It’s funny you want to seem holier than though when I don’t even eat there. I just don’t do it for political reasons. If I thought the food was good I would eat there because of the way they treat their employees.
It sounds like you are making excuses for "right to work" corpos owning their workers. Wage slaves are wage slaves and the further we remove the predatory practices the better. It is funny you want to seem holier than ### thou when you are really nothing but another clueless libertarian.
I have made zero excuses. I am not holier than thou at all as I clearly stated I would buy the chicken either way, if I thought the chicken was good.
I am sure you are crushing what ever imaginary issue you are trying to fight with such edgy words a wage slaves by not eating the chicken and I am sure that makes you feel better. I am sure you are doing your part to change the world and I wish you well.
I still won't eat the chicken because I don't think it taste very good.
You're kind of an idiot, aren't you?
I just looked at your profile, and man I have not seen anyone have such a strong downvote count. I mean, I don't look at profiles a lot, but still. You're a politically-edgy little bastard, aren't you?
Ah, your slacktivism is doing well.
Edgy? Not at all. I leave that to you.
Why are you arguing when you know you don't know what they're talking about, and a quick Google search can verify what they're saying? Or are you just playing stupid?
Maybe you are simple but I clearly described that to me it's chicken. I get with your slacktivism you think you are saving the world but you just look silly to me. While you not buying chicken shows you are stopping whatever imaginary threat you think is real, I don't buy the chicken because I don't like it. I can't prove a negative. When you google, it comes back with nothing recent since CFA stopped donating to certain groups many years ago.
Well, I can see that someone who moves the goalposts this often isn't worth arguing with. Maybe just state the point you really want to make the first time instead of being sheepish about it?
Also, "slacktivism"? Man, I can't take you seriously. How hilarious would it be though— you're so quick to assume people don't do anything but argue on the internet, someone's gonna show you up someday. You honestly sound a whole lot like you're projecting about "slacktivism". But oh well, onto reading the next Lemmy post.
I never moved the goal post. It's chicken. Nothing more but chicken. My gay BIL works there and loves his job. He is treated well and it's owned by a gay couple. Yet, you think you are going to help him by not eating the chicken? How strange.
Are you simple? I am the opposite of slacktivism. If I wanted CFA, I would go eat it because of the good they do. THe only reason I don't eat it is I don't like it.
I am sure you are leading the good fight in the real world. lol.. that made me chuckle, thank you. You consider not buying a chicken sandwich as sticking it to the man and for that, we are not the same.
Your response posts keep getting more and more desperate, lol
