TFW I'm not applauded as an ally by the transpeople I'm actively misgendering.

Do they know a trans person in real life, have they ever talked to a trans person in the real world, face to face? Hell even anyone from the LGBT community.

You can type all the paragraphs you want, it doesn't mean anything when push comes to shove.

Also, someone who spends all day every day writing articles about how trans people should detransition to receive God's love or something could also, from their perspective, say they've "written thousands of paragraphs in support of trans people." Volume is nothing, content is everything, and the content of this person's screed veers awfully close to standard reactionary bullshit with that "you people just want to be offended!" chestnut.

If they're all comments from a sports subreddit like the screenshot shows, it's probably to do with defending the rights of a trans athlete to play the sport, at least I would guess so. So the content is likely fine. It's just that most online comments are hypotheticals and don't really track with how someone would deal with a similar situation in person, due to the way the internet works with anonymity and all.

I looked into their posts on Reddit and they did post stuff against the trans ban in sports there, but their understanding of the systemic nature of trans discrimination is... Lacking

People who do this type of shit definitely do not know any trans people in real life. Chronically online behavior is linking to Reddit threads for credibility.

When my children ask me what I did during the holocaust, I'll be proud to say I posted about it
