The absolute gall of these people to just go "lol, dunno, they gone".

SEIZE THIER PHONES

If I get arrested, I get my possessions taken off me and held as evidence. These pricks just delete everything and then "can't recall" anything that was said. You can't recall any important details about this worldwide pandemic that closed the country down for 2 years? Guess you have serious memory problems and shouldn't be in government anymore.

Cunts the lot of them.

They knew it was coming way before it did. Boris had no messages before a certain date and claimed it was cause he had a new phone.

Labour MPs, and everyone else in the modern world, have pointed out that isn't how Whatsapp works, but his answer was basically "Oh well"

I dunno. I tried to transition my sister in law's WhatsApps from her iPhone to Android and it's as far as I can tell impossible because the backup on the respective cloud services are hidden and can't be loaded manually.

It's all linked. You can access your whatsapp from your phone to your laptop and it transfers place to place. You may have set up a new whatsapp on her new phone rather than just signing in but in that case you can just sign out and into the old one, they're not gone.

How do you get the messages to your laptop? My googling only lead to various hacks to enable hidden iCloud folders and copying from there. Anyway I suspect I'm going a bit of topic but the point was it wasn't as smooth a process as I was expecting from my experience upgrading phones on the same OS.
