Insulting me is not an explanation for why you lied. It's also a strange thing to do after accusing someone of "stumbling" at "arguing." Seems like a stumble to me. Not as much as lying, of course.

Because when you say 'you' when you are talking to someone, it means you are talking about them. When you say 'your' when talking to someone, it means you are talking about something they possess. Okay, since you're back to insults and have not clarified, I will have to assume you have not been talking about me the entire time and were talking about a group of people who are not me. I'm not sure why you're so mad at them or why you're telling me about it though.
I know education is hard to find in the states, but come on, even a first grader knows that "you" can represent a group of people? Unless... It's worse than I thought in your specific case.
Yes, it can mean a group of people. A group of people necessarily including the person you're talking to.
Thus, when you said to me:
You were talking about a group of people which necessarily includes me, thus you were insulting me.
Again, I hope this English lesson helps you. Feel free to find a dictionary that disputes it though.
