Details about the attacker and his homelife/etc are not forthcoming, but one presumes that he wasn't actually a fully murderous idiot and instead was egged on by hormones and peer pressure. It is unfortunate that what is normally annoying behavior lead to someone's death. With luck, though, a very large life lesson has be en learned here and this teen will go on to live a productive life.
He was the oldest of the three attackers by a few years.
