Like, my kid's school is pretty damn good. waaaaay better than it was when I went there. But it still sucks in a real sense because it's school. You sacrifice a hell of a lot of flexibility and freedom because of the necessity of teaching as many kids as possible in an affordable way. No way to get rid of all the suck, no matter what compromises you pick to get it done.
