Rules
1. Be nice
Do not make personal attacks against each other, call for violence against anyone, or intentionally antagonize people in the comment sections.
2. Explain incorrect defense articles and takes
If you want to post a non-credible take, it must be from a "credible" source (news article, politician, or military leader) and must have a comment laying out exactly why it's non-credible. Low-hanging fruit such as random Twitter and YouTube comments belong in the Matrix chat.
3. Content must be relevant
Posts must be about military hardware or international security/defense. This is not the page to fawn over Youtube personalities, simp over political leaders, or discuss other areas of international policy.
4. No racism / hatespeech
No slurs. No advocating for the killing of people or insulting them based on physical, religious, or ideological traits.
5. No politics
We don't care if you're Republican, Democrat, Socialist, Stalinist, Baathist, or some other hot mess. Leave it at the door. This applies to comments as well.
6. No seriousposting
We don't want your uncut war footage, fundraisers, credible news articles, or other such things. The world is already serious enough as it is.
7. No classified material
Classified ‘western’ information is off limits regardless of how "open source" and "easy to find" it is.
8. Source artwork
If you use somebody's art in your post or as your post, the OP must provide a direct link to the art's source in the comment section, or a good reason why this was not possible (such as the artist deleting their account). The source should be a place that the artist themselves uploaded the art. A booru is not a source. A watermark is not a source.
9. No low-effort posts
No egregiously low effort posts. E.g. screenshots, recent reposts, simple reaction & template memes, and images with the punchline in the title. Put these in weekly Matrix chat instead.
10. Don't get us banned
No brigading or harassing other communities. Do not post memes with a "haha people that I hate died… haha" punchline or violating the sh.itjust.works rules (below). This includes content illegal in Canada.
11. No misinformation
NCD exists to make fun of misinformation, not to spread it. Make outlandish claims, but if your take doesn’t show signs of satire or exaggeration it will be removed. Misleading content may result in a ban. Regardless of source, don’t post obvious propaganda or fake news. Double-check facts and don't be an idiot.

First off, please look at a calendar and check what century we are in. If you can't recognize current atrocities, then you have no business in discussing past injustices.
You are comparing a US state, US Territory works on voting on statehood, and a US detention center that is state of the art compared to current Russian Filtration/Concentration camps.
Nothing you mentioned compares to this stuff at the moment. We can differ and that is that. I'm not going to downplay the current atrocities, so you feel better about having bad politics that don't acknowledge human suffering.

Neither Puerto Rico or Hawai'i are Usonian states, they collonies occupied by the US and the simple fact that you think it's somehow a justification that the US does this but Russia is okay speaks tons about you.
But yeah, native Hawai'ians opinions are probably just some tankie or some shit to you and a white person needs to decide over them. You are the one doing whataboutism, the US has done shit for the last 200 years, multiple things that are still going on, that can be fix, solvable, that still have repercussions today, but some fucking country over there fucks up with some white Europeans and you lose your shit and everyone should focus their attention over there. Where are you when colonies that need liberation from white Europeans are in need? Where are you when people in West Asia are being massacred by your people? You are crying russia whatever because you can't own your own shit, you can just point over there and say whatabitism to the Global South.
Where are you when the CCP commit atrocities?, Where were you when the NK abuses human right?, Where were you when the soviet union send tank to hungary?, Where were you when the holodomor happend?, When were you when....

You could critize US for it's imperialism but don't ignore when other countries do it too.
I try to fight against injustices in my own country, I don't accept the colonization of varios groups of people is good and then criticise other country for something bad they did. My country doesn't have colonies, though, I have just been fucked and robbed by your people, so it's a bit different. Maybe try and fight a bit more for Hawai'ians, Puerto Ricans, Latinos detained in ICE, and then see if you can fix something in the other end of the world. There are war crimes in your homeland you could actually fight against, not just complain about on the internet.
